If your application requires the services of Tipstaff, please call 020 7947 6200 or 020 7947 6713 and speak to Tipstaff before going to court or filing your application.
- Applications not on the list can only be submitted to the Applications Tribunal if they are urgent and the urgency arises from a very recent event or circumstance. A lawsuit will not be filed before the Complaints Court simply because it has not been communicated to the other party or parties, unless it is urgent in the terms defined above. All other requests, whether with or without notice, must first be issued with a reasonable time estimate and be listed by a date specified by the Rules Secretary.
- Except in cases of extreme urgency, applications must be submitted before 10:30 a.m. and no later.
- No application can be made to the High Court Appeals Tribunal, which can be taken to a lower level judge.
5.3sentences
The verdict will be announced by the judge of court X at 10:30 am. m. on day Y of year Z 2022. The presence of the parties and their legal representatives is excused, unless otherwise provided by the judge. Shortly thereafter, a copy of the final judgment is automatically mailed personally to the attorneys and litigants.

7.King's Bench Masters Daily Cause List
Daily audiences before the King's Bench Masters.
7.1Press and public access
Any member of the media (or any other member of the public) wishing to participate in a remote hearing must provide an email address and contact number in order to receive an appropriate access link. Contact the responsible Master's Secretariat and enter the date and time of the hearing in the subject field. Details of the court clerk can be found in Appendix 2 of the King's Bank Division Guide (link below) or call the court on 020 3936 8957, select option 4 then the option for the master relevant.
7.2sentences
The sentences transmitted remotely by the Master are sent by circulation to the representatives of the parties by email and to the National Archives. The delivery date and time is considered no earlier than the specified time. A copy of the final judgment may be made available by email if requested after that time.
7.3bunch
In-Person Hearings: Paper packets must be provided at least 3 days before the hearing. These can be taken to the bear garden for delivery.
Remote Hearings: These must be electronically available to the Captain and/or his officer at least 3 days prior to the hearing. See the Masters remote instructions in the hearing notice for specific instructions.
7.4Personal Audiences
All hearings designated as in a hall or courtroom will not have video connectivity unless otherwise noted. The main chambers are limited to 4 participants. If more participants are expected, please contact the Master's Secretariat as soon as possible to see if a suitable alternative can be found.

Case Tracker for Civil Appeals
The Case Tracker allows users to search for information on applications or appeals in the Court of Appeal, Civil Division. Users are also able to search for information on applications or appeals heard in the last 31 days.
Visitors are only allowed to sit in the final two rows of the court room, as the other rows are reserved for law reporters and barristers, as well as friends and family members of those involved in the case. Make sure you bow your head to the judge when both entering and leaving the court room.

Judgments and orders
Any Judgment or Order made 'in public' is a public document and automatically available to the public. The general rule is that all hearings are in public, subject to the court's discretion to order a hearing to be held in private.
If you are a victim or witness in the case and have left the court before the trial has ended and would like to know the outcome of the case, you can contact the person who asked you to come to court. They will be able to give you the information on the sentence.
