Gwent is one of the more unusual aspects of the gameThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.Whenthe game is very well donethat even its minigames inspire devotion, it's safe to say the developer did something right. Building Geralt's Gwent deck can be one of the most rewarding aspects of the game.the wizard 3,covering the full extent of the base game and its expansions.

Aside from the joy of completing Geralt's deck, the main reason to pick up each card is thisUnlock the "Card Collector" Trophy/Achievement., which requires Geralt to find all of the base game cards. Players looking to complete this quest need to be ready from the start, as several easily overlooked cards are available almost immediately after waking up from a dream about Kaer Morhen.

Notes on Collecting Gwent Cards

Geralt starts the game with the Midlands base deck, which he will use for most of the early game. Includes several special weather cards and 24-unit cards.

There are a total of 199 Gwent cards to collectThe Sorcerer 3.Of these, 120 are unique and the rest are duplicates. For example, the Blue Stripes Commando card uses the "Tight Bond" ability to work with copies of itself, so there are three Blue Stripes Commando cards.Geralt only needs to collect unique cards to complete "Collect Them All".

General there are many waysget Gwent cardsthe wizard 3.The two most common methods are earning them from matches in Gwent and buying them from various merchants. Each region has Gwent-related quests, such as the "City Players" quest in Novigrad. Geralt must make every effort to complete them before proceeding with the story. Several cards available in these missions can be lost if certain story events happen.

In rare cases, Gwent cards can be found in non-Gwent quests, which will be detailed later in this guide.

note on difficulties

If Geralt is having trouble winning matches, remember that Gwent has its own difficulty levels. In the settings, look for the difficulty slider dedicated to Gwent. This does not affect achievement requirements or the difficulty of the rest of the game.

How to get the Miraculous Guide to Gwent

One of the most important tools Geralt can find when looking for Gwent cards isA wonderful guide to Gwent.This book uses magic to control the number of cards remaining in each region. While not the most robust or reliable source of information, it does help with the most basic and general information.

The book can be obtained after defeating the scholar in the Tavern in White Orchard. When Geralt first arrives at this location, Vesemir will order him to interrogate the inn's guests. He looks for some men playing Gwent and come. After asking questions, Geralt will start to walk away. The Scholar will then offer Geralt his first fight in Gwent. Defeat him to get your first i cardA wonderful guide to Gwent.Though not everything has been saidthe wizard 3Gwent card locations, still worth having.

Combine rewards for quests vs. Rewards for "Unfamous" matches.

during the examA wonderful guide to Gwent,players will notice that 47 cards can be gained from “players without fame or specific skill”. Unlike quest matches, where Geralt is always dealt predetermined cards, matches with players "without fame or specific skill" reward Geralt with a randomly selected card from a pool created for that purpose.

When Geralt collects everythingthe wizard 3Gwent cards, maybe focus on themall DLC cards, including a new Skellige deck.

White Orchard Gwent Cards

White Orchard will be the first place where Geralt can play and get Gwent cards. There is a match and two NPCs that sell cards. If Geralt buys cards from one, the other will no longer sell them.

Zoltan can be tricky at timeswho you want to join the match with. If you can't find it in Rosemary & Thyme, continue with the quests, checking again after each one. Players may have to wait until Dandelion is saved.

Defeat Thaler at the Inn of the Seven Cats

If Geralt plays "Old Buddies" before "Deadly Conspiracy", he can earn his signature card later after"A Deadly Conspiracy" It has been completed.

Thaler can die during the "Reason of State" quest, so make sure you face Thaler as soon as "The Deadly Conspiracy" ends. There is also a known bug where Thaler does not have an interaction symbol above his head. If this happens, have him get as close to Geralt as possible and press the appropriate Interact button several times.

Once Geralt has collected all cards that can be bought and acquired through quests, the remaining cards will be earned.matches with different NPCs. Each region has a limited number of cards that can be won, so if Geralt stops getting playing cards, it's time to move to another region. To useA wonderful guide to Gwent to find out where Geralt is. Look for gunsmiths, blacksmiths, innkeepers and all merchants as potential partners.

Allthe wizard 3Gwent cards have different abilities that make them useful in certain situations. Some cards, however, have special abilities that, when used correctly, allow Geralt to gain an advantage over his opponents.

Character		Champions have a golden sun around their strength. Heroes are immune to any special cards or weather effects, but also cannot use any strength-enhancing effects such as Commander's Horn.
Tight bond		The two clasped hands represent Tight Bond. Tight Bond works with other cards of the same name, increasing each one's strength. Two cards would double the original value, three cards would triple it, etc.
Get together		Muster is represented by two helmets. When a player plays a meeting card, he takes any card with the same name from his deck and hand and puts it onto the battlefield.
seeds		Agility is represented by two arrows circling clockwise. This ability allows the player to choose between placing the card as a ranged or melee unit.
Spy		The spy is represented by a big eye. Spy cards are placed in the opponent's square adding up their total strength. Instead, the player draws two cards from his deck.
Morale boost		Morale boost is marked with a cross. This ability allows the card to increase the strength of all other Basic Combat cards in the same row by 1. This effect can be multiplied by using various Morale Boost cards. It also works in conjunction with other buffs like Commander's Horn or Tight Bond.
Doctor		The Medic is represented by a black heart with a white cross. This ability, placed on the battlefield, allows the player to draw a card from the discard pile.
singe		Represented by a skull with horns. This ability can be found on the Villentretenmerth card, which allows you to eliminate the most powerful cards in the Enemy Hand by Hand row, as long as the sum of all cards in the row is 10 or more.
commander's horn		Represented by a horn. Found ondandelion card, this ability works the same as a normal Commander's Horn, doubling the power of all basic Combat cards in the same row.
